This Privacy Policy describes how Friday Intellytics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AskFriday analytics assistant (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you sign in via Google Authentication, we receive and store:

• Name
• Email address
• Profile picture
• Google account identifier

1.2 Usage Data

As you interact with the Service, we collect:

• Chat messages — Questions you ask and responses generated by the AI assistant
• SQL queries and results — Queries executed against your connected datasets and their outputs
• Visualizations and artifacts — Charts, number cards, and insights you create or pin
• Workspace metadata — Titles, creation timestamps, and session identifiers
• Shared dashboards — Dashboard snapshots you choose to publish, including titles, summaries, and associated artifacts

1.3 Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information:

• IP address — Used for rate limiting and abuse prevention; not stored persistently
• Timestamps — Account creation and last activity times
• Analytics events — Anonymized interaction events (e.g., query count, response times) for service improvement

1.4 Connected Data Sources

• Company BigQuery tables — You choose which tables to connect. We access table schemas and metadata; query results are processed in-memory and cached temporarily per session.
• Kaggle datasets — If you import Kaggle datasets, they are ingested into your BigQuery project. We store import metadata (dataset name, source, table reference).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide the Service — Process your natural language queries, generate SQL, and render visualizations
• Maintain conversation context — Store chat history so you can revisit previous workspaces
• Enable collaboration — Power shared dashboards and artifact publishing
• Improve the Service — Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve reliability and features
• Ensure security — Rate limiting, abuse detection, and access control

We do not use your data to train AI models. Your queries and data are processed by Google Vertex AI (Gemini) under Google Cloud’s data processing terms, which prohibit use of customer data for model training.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the Service:

These providers process data under their respective data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes beyond service delivery.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Friday Intellytics, our users, or others.

We implement the following measures to protect your data:

• Encryption in transit — All data transmitted between your browser, our servers, and Google Cloud is encrypted using TLS 1.2+
• Encryption at rest — Data stored in Firestore, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage is encrypted at rest using Google-managed encryption keys
• Access control — Authentication via Google OAuth 2.0; user data is isolated per account
• Rate limiting — IP-based and global rate limits to prevent abuse
• Infrastructure security — Hosted on Google Cloud Run with managed security patching and no persistent local storage

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data (see Section 7)
• Data portability — Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent — Stop using the Service at any time; revoke Google OAuth access from your Google Account settings
• Object to processing — Contact us if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully

7. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing datasecurity@fridayintellytics.com from the email address linked to your account.

Upon receiving a valid deletion request:

• Your account, workspaces, messages, artifacts, and analytics data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Shared dashboards you published will be removed immediately
• Cached data (session SQL results) is already transient and requires no action
• We may retain limited data (anonymized, aggregated statistics) that cannot be used to identify you

8. Age Restriction

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13. If you believe a minor under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at datasecurity@fridayintellytics.com and we will promptly delete such information.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

The Service uses:

• Session cookies — To maintain your authenticated session; essential for the Service to function
• Local storage — To store UI preferences (e.g., panel state)

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
• Notify active users via email or an in-app notice

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
